Human flourishing infrastructure for the age of AI.

The Wildvine Foundation is a Washington nonprofit helping people and communities learn new skills, work together on shared problems, and stay economically secure during a period of rapid technological change driven by artificial intelligence.

Artificial intelligence makes a new future possible. Human flourishing infrastructure makes it livable.

Why this exists

AI is changing how people work and live faster than most communities can adapt. Many workers face displacement or the need to learn new skills; many local institutions that serve the public lack the capacity to use new tools well. A world of abundant technology can still become a world of dependency.

The bottleneck is no longer only invention. It is implementation, trust, local adoption, daily discipline, and whether people can become capable enough to use the tools without being used by them. The Foundation exists to build the ground layer where that capability grows — with particular attention to displaced workers, veterans, and under-served communities.

What we do

Education and skill-building

Free and low-cost programs that help people build practical skills for a changing economy — digital and AI literacy, workforce and vocational skills, creative and performing arts, and the foundations adults need to find and keep meaningful work. No one is turned away for inability to pay.

Community gathering and learning centers

Physical community spaces where residents gather, learn, collaborate on local problems, create, and find belonging — in the civic tradition of the public library, the lodge, and the mechanics' institute. One fully operating pilot center is the founding-period priority.

Open methods and public outreach

Traveling education and launch support for new communities, freely available educational media, and openly licensed replication guides — so what works can be adopted anywhere, by anyone, at no cost.

The Founding Forge

A Forge is a local institution for human agency in the age of AI.

Inside a Forge, people learn to use AI without surrendering judgment. They strengthen body and mind, build useful ventures, create media, practice performance and presence, and participate in local problem-solving. The first Founding Forge is being prepared as a public, documented experiment — not a polished institution pretending to have all the answers, but a visible act of formation that asks one question in public:

What happens when people are given abundant intelligence, daily structure, embodied practice, verified trust, creative discipline, and a community built for agency?

Agency

Attention, choice, learning, self-command, and the ability to act.

Embodiment

Movement, music, rhythm, voice, performance, and creative confidence.

Healthspan

Strength, sleep, nutrition, cognition, connection, and measurable vitality.

Execution

AI agents, workflows, research systems, and venture tools, used with judgment.

Verification

Records, claims, consent, provenance, and trusted outcomes.

Identity

Personhood, authentication, and the human/agent distinction.

Stewardship

Local operations, governance, economics, rituals, and replication.

The seven currents of a Forge — given equal weight, introduced in an order people can metabolize.

How it fits

Wildvine is the mission: technological abundance turned into human flourishing. Two entities carry it.

The Wildvine Foundation

Nonprofit — the public-good side

Funds and stewards education, community Forges, research, public-interest AI, scholarships, and civic infrastructure. The Founding Forge is its first program.

Proactiva, LLC

Operating company — the commercial side

A separate operating company that builds and owns the commercial systems, products, and tools aligned with the mission. The Foundation may fund or contract mission-aligned work, subject to nonprofit rules.

The Foundation helps the mission reach the public. Proactiva helps the mission become operational. The projects are the branches where the mission becomes usable.
